The roaring log fires and friendly welcoming staff provide a truly festive atmosphere. This combined with menus using fresh local produce, simmering mulled wine, warm mince pies, and locally brewed ales make a celebration to remember.

If you are catching up with friends or family or any other excuse to get out and have good food in an warm and friendly atmosphere and you will be welcomed here at The Abbots Mitre.

We will be offering our festive menu alongside our regular menu throughout December. We do not require a deposit but ask you just keep us informed of any changes. Parties of 10 or more will need to have a pre-order and we have a form bellow to make this easier. Please email this over and we will confirm response withing 24 hours.

Roasted celeriac soup with crispy pancetta and warm focaccia

Crispy jackfruit wings on a apricot & hazelnut cous cous with an arrabbiata sauce

Pheasant pate with a flame roasted tomato chutney and melba toast

Pork belly bon bons with a cranberry, apple and ginger salsa

Salmon and cherry tomato kebab with a Greek salad and warm pitta bread

Mains

Roast turkey with all the traditional trimmings

Seared duck breast (served pink) with dauphinoise potatoes and curly kale

Roasted trout fillet on French style peas with garlic sautéed potatoes

Short rib of beef on Calcannon mash and braised red cabbage

Bombay vegetable tart with saag aloo and a masala sauce

Cider poached apple with a stem ginger ice cream
